Us VS The Theater

Many moons ago, I met Rob.
A few moons after that, we started going out and Rob turned me into a nerd.
But that’s a good thing, because that nerdiness led both of us to the amazingness that is Scott Pilgrim.

Me, Rob, and out friend Peter ventured out late Thursday night to brave the darkness and make our journey to the movie theater, determined to see the very first showing of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World in our theater because we are dorks like that.
We walked in and got in line and the first thing I noticed was that I was one of the only females on premises.
The theater was full of nerdy guys and with Rob walking in, he just added to the bunch.

We make our way into our auditorium and sit down and while we’re waiting for the movie to start, we are entertained by the lovely nerdy commentary that is surrounding us.

Then the previews start. Everyone in the theater is sitting there in anticipation for both the upcoming new films that are sure to be good AND the epic of epic epicness that is almost upon us.
A certain preview starts and we’re all sitting there exchanging our “this looks good!”s with each other and everyone is interested.

But then the preview took a turn for the worse…

I initially thought that I was the only one groaning at the name, due to my horrible experience with The Last Airbender, but I was pleasantly surprised to hear the rest of the auditorium groaning in unison.

Anyway, we watched the movie and it was amazing and hilarious and it is now my favorite movie because it’s one of those films you can just watch over and over and over and over.
Plus the crowd we were with was hilarious in itself. Some of the commentary was really funny, especially if you were in the know with some memes… and by in the know I mean you stalk the internet for hours each day like I do because I have no life.

So I got home and I stayed up until like 4:30 in the morning drawing this because I’m a huge dork and I had nothing better to do and also I was pumped from the super amazing movie I had just seen and wanted to draw something Scott Pilgrim related. So here you go. :D

THE END!

This

So I suppose I should begin with a post about me.
Yes, one of those generic posts that tell you all the things I like, all the foods I eat, what my shoe size is, and how often I use the bathroom.

I’ll spare you all those boring details and just get to the good stuff.

I’m a college student. I’m short. I’m an artist. And I procrastinate.

A lot.

And by a lot I mean that right now, at the time of me typing this, I am supposed to be working on 30 illustrations for my friend.
So why aren’t I doing them?

Well, for one thing, I’m having a serious problem with my drawing skills right now.
Like, I can draw this…

…but I can’t draw something serious.
And since I don’t want the drawings he is paying me to do to look like this…

even though this is kinda badass

…I have to buckle down and do well.
So why can’t I?

I don’t have the answers, but I can suspect that it has to do with me not being responsible.
So that’s why I made this blog thingy.

Yeah, my logic is a little flawed, but oh well.
I imagine that this thingy will give me the incentive to get off my lazy ass and write and draw things and maybe update once or twice a week. For some reason, my mind equates this with getting stuff done on time.

I probably won’t make the deadline for my own updates, but we’ll see.

Oh yeah, I should probably talk about that nerdy guy in the banner and the background image.

That’s Rob. He’s my boyfriend.
He shows up a lot in my drawings.
Expect him.
If you don’t like it, then… well… no one loves you.

:D

Hi

This is a new blog.
And I'm Lolo. And this is my new blog.

Here. Look at this image.
It says things.

Yup. More things will be said later when this blog of mine isn't so new.
