This One Time… I was a delinquent.

Back when I was a kid, I had a friend who lived nearby. He came over a lot and would often tell us stories of the really stupid things he did. He would often play silly pranks on his family, or hop a fence into someone’s yard. They progressively got stupider the older we got, and I can’t decide if it was due to him actually doing stupider things than before or if we were just maturing to the point where we found petty pranks to be immature. I’m going to put my money on him doing stupider things.

Anyway, when I was around 13 he told us about how he turned off the street lights and caused a lot of chaos. I was amazed and flabbergasted! He was younger than I was and he did all these wacky teenager things that I never did. Granted, I WAS only thirteen, and I had only been a teenager for less than a year, but still! I was intrigued and confused, since the streetlights are solar powered.

My young friend gave a sly smile and told us how he did it. And that settled it.

That night I called up my other friend and told her the plan.

Soon after, she came over and we went over the course of action. My young friend made mention that we would have to look for a big, buzzing box either on or near a street light, and that we would have to shine a light on the light sensor on the bottom of it. So we grabbed a flashlight and set out on our journey.

We found a few boxes along the busy street that I live on, but we couldn’t use those because we were really paranoid about what kind of chaos we would cause.

We didn’t want to be responsible for THAT much chaos, so we located a box in the alleyway behind my house.

Perfect! No one really uses this alley anyway, so there wouldn’t be too much chaos!
We walked over to get a good view and what we discovered put a problem in our plan.

We were too short.

Dammit! And we were so close, too! But no! We wouldn’t let something so miniscule as our shortness stop us from doing this. We were teenagers! We HAD to do it!

So we went back to my house and devised another plan.

It was ingenious! Foolproof! We were masterminds at being delinquents! Those alley lights didn’t expect this, that’s for sure!

We grabbed our amazingly crafted new tool and headed back out to the alley. Of course, this time we kind of had to sneak there, as if that made our flashlight-pole-hybrid any less obvious.

Our stealth skills proved to be infallible as we made it to our destination. The time had come!
My friend grabbed the flashlight-pole-hybrid and stood under the buzzing box. She took a deep breath, turned the flight light on, and held it up to the sensor. Everything was going smoothly…

Oh god what have we done?! Why was this box here if it didn’t control the alley lights?!!
We started to panic! There was a house directly in front of the alley way opening and the people in there could have seen!

Screw the people! The HOUSES were watching!

So were the cars!

And the fences!

Everything was watching us! Everything had EYES and they were STARING AT US.

Our panic turned to sheer fright and terror. We did the first thing that came to mind.

And that was the time that I was a delinquent.

*Don't attempt this. You could get in big trouble. Also, it won't be funny. This is only funny because I wrote it that way.

Commuting

To those who don’t know, I go to school in Chicago. Downtown Chicago to be exact. And to get there, I need to commute. So I take the train everyday. Some days are interesting, but most of the time it’s so mind numbingly boring that I kind of wish someone would rip of their clothes and declare a naked rave party.
Every day when I’m on the train it’s always

Or

And as I get off the train it’s always

And

Some days I seriously wish I could hear interesting things when I am commuting.

Every once in a while a character boards the train and it gives me a glimmer of hope that the people who I normally ride with aren’t really as boring as they were.

I’m not even joking around with this. I only saw this guy twice, both on the same day: on my train ride to school and on my way home. What are the odds? His pimp suit was shiny gold with leopard print fur lining. He had the hat and the cane and a pair of really slick and probably expensive shoes. This guy was legit.

I see this guy all the time. He waits for the train at my station, he wears the same clothes every time, and he never stops talking. I mean seriously. He could be standing there by himself and he’d be talking. He’d be violently shouting things about the Sox or the Cubs and he always says dirty things to the train as it pulls into the station. Oh, and you see his bags? Every time I'd see this guy I’d wonder what he was carrying around. It was always the same two bags, too. One day I glanced in because I am a nosy little jackass. Guess what was in it?

MORE BAGS.

Yeah. I don’t even know.
Where the hell does this guy even go?!

Oh jeez. This loser. Don’t even get me start- ohnevermindthat’sme.

So there you have it. My painfully boring train ride that is ordinary and is always the same.  I somewhat dread it every day because I know it’s going to be a drag.
Unless this happens.

Holy balls that’d be awesome. But that‘ll never happen, so I guess I’m gonna have to be surrounded by boring people who seriously have nothing else to do but talk about their boring lives as if they live to be bored.

Rob: The first

I'm Rob. I write stuff, so you wont see many illustrations coming from any of my entries. Except any Lauren feels like contributing such as this.
I love how my dashing good looks can even come across in basic forms of shapes.

Firstly, I must address why we haven't updated in two whole months. There are tons of reasons. We're both students with work to do, we're incredibly lazy, have books to read, have games that need playing, illustrations to complete, deadlines to meet, etc. Lauren also can't save any drawings on her computer because her program passed its free trial date or something, I don't know; She tends to just use it as an excuse to not do anything whenever I bring up the subject of the blog.

(Don't tell her I said that, she gets awfully gripy when I mention how lazy she is.)

Second, you should get to know me. I'm uninteresting, so I'll make a list of stuff about me. You'll know me intimately by the end; that's how these things work, correct?

  1. I eat dry cereal—Don't be hatin.
  2. I'm a journalism student—The life of a person who thrives on nothing but verifying facts is hell on Earth.
  3. I read—Comics, books, journals, etc. It's just something I'm stuck doing because of my major and job.
  4. I play video games when the time is right—Mostly stuff on my Wii or DS. I'll get more advanced as time goes on. Being poor sucks.
  5. A squirrel and a bird often sit outside my window in the morning and have deep, meaningful conversations.
  6. If talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, I should've checked into the doctor's at the age of eight.

Now we know each other on a personal level. I'm glad we could spend the time to be friends. Can I borrow twenty bucks? I swear, you'll get it back by next weekend.

Right now, Lauren and I plan on further updates as the holiday break rolls closer. Maybe we'll get off our asses and do something right for once. We'll see. For now, take this crude interpretation of my girlfriend in tow.

Oh. Uh. Hi there.
Um. You may remember me from some blogs such as this one that is never updated because I am a terrible being and I suck at being responsible.

The truth behind this is...
IT'S ROB'S FAULT. YEAH. THERE. I SAID IT.
OH YEAH. HIS FAULT ALRIGHT.
I TOLD HIM TO UPDATE THE BLOG.
BUT DID HE LISTEN? NOOOO

So there. I am the responsible one while he is the super terrible being!

I know! I know!

I suck.
Please don't remind me.

School started back up for me and my schedule is evil and it hates me. :c
Sometimes it won't let me eat dinner at night.
And every day it doesn't let me eat lunch.

My evil schedule is sapping away my energy and my meals.
Also, I lost my tablet pen but I found it again yaaaaay c:

I promise an update soon!
PROMISE.

And if I break this promise, you have my permission to send the Kawaii Squids after me.

And we all know that that is not a good thing.

I am lazy and forgetful

Hey guys! Sorry about the lack of updates.
I've been attempting to work on other things [key word: attempting], but I'll try to have a new post up within the next couple days!

Also, I gave Rob permission to post on here but for some reason he is acting like me and being a lazy ass.

So in order to hold you off until the next update, I give you content that consists of a kitty eating a fish.

And to make it even better, here is the fish eating the kitty.

I think I like the kitty eating the fish one a lot more.
